A look inside the Travel Counsellors Annual Conference

The most highly anticipated event in our calendar, and one of the most talked-about events in the travel industry, the Travel Counsellors’ Annual Conference is not an event to be missed.

And this year the stage is set to be the biggest and best yet as we celebrate our 25th Anniversary

If you're interested in joining Travel Counsellors, you'll be welcomed as our guest on Saturday 16th November, but existing franchisees enjoy the full 3-day experience

Here’s a look inside the 3 days:

  • Conference kicks off with seminar sessions to address specific questions and topics that will help franchisees develop their businesses. These interactive sessions target everything from creating a hard-hitting business plan, building your brand, mindfulness and time-management to maximising digital marketing to grow your business.

  • Inspirational speakers share their stories of success. In the past Nisha Katona, founder of Indian restaurant chain Mowgli, shared her advice for entrepreneurs. Dr Kate Allatt and our accessible travel ambassador, Nadia Clarke, proved that no barrier is too big to overcome, and Sir Chris Hoy and Joanna Lumley took us behind the scenes of some of their most notable achievements.

  • In the evenings, the selection of world-class entertainment never fails to disappoint. In 2018, Craig David and Marti Pellow headlined the show, with Olly Murs, Gary Barlow and Rick Astley getting us dancing in years previous. If comedy is your thing, we’ve welcomed Jack Whitehall, Dara O’Brien and John Bishop to the stage, and enjoyed aerial acrobatics, magicians, a Silent Disco and a surprise The Greatest Showman medley from a choir of our Manchester-based support colleagues.

  • Hundreds of supplier partners from every sector of travel attend our Conference and the pow-wow session is an opportunity for franchisees to meet them all, learn about their products first-hand and build the personal relationships we are famous for.

  • Our generous supplier partners also donate hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of holidays and giveaways. 6-star hotels, business class flights and money-can’t-buy experiences are all up for grabs.

  • Whether it’s your first or 25th Conference, there is always something to take away to supercharge your business. Business Development, Marketing, Commercial and Technology (and more!) teams take to the stage to share updates, insights and ideas, tailored to our Travel Counsellors’ needs.

  • Conference is a time for celebration and thanks, and we recognise success around the business at our Gala Dinner Awards Ceremony. We award prizes based on all the different factors it takes to be an outstanding TC, and recognise our newest Travel Counsellors, our global support colleagues and our top suppliers and partners.

  • Franchisees leave Conference buzzing to get back to their businesses and put into practice everything they’ve learnt. We deliberately choose November to hold our Conference so that franchisees can adapt their businesses over the quieter Christmas period, and then make the most of travel’s peak booking season in January and February.

It’s easy to see why our Conference is the envy of the travel industry, and why it is so anticipated by our franchisees.

If you are interested in becoming a Travel Counsellor, we invite you to join us at Conference, to see for yourself if we are the right fit for you.
