Project Manager

Role Summary

We are looking for a Project Manager for a minimum 2-year FTC to join our Commercial function who will be responsible for scoping, prioritising and delivering our digital strategy in this area.

We are currently embarking on a companywide Digital Transformation Program and this role, reporting into the Head of Commercial and in collaboration with our Tech, product and PMO functions, provides an exciting opportunity to shape and drive changes across our booking and payments products and processes as the company transitions from a legacy network to a platform business. We are working to remove manual processes and build a scalable, industry leading booking management platform.

As an agent of change, you will play a lead role in guiding our business teams in the adoption and delivery of digital innovation and capabilities and provide a practical approach to applying technology where it will add value.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the successful delivery of a variety of digital transformation initiatives within the Commercial function on time and on budget by creating clear plans, timelines, resource requirements, etc.
  • Analysis of existing booking related processes, identifying potential improvements
  • Consulting with end users and helping to identify pain points and potential solutions
  • Awareness of latest technology solutions, advising upon the potential introduction of such technology
  • Work with and manage the relationship with potential third party suppliers
  • Working with the Product Owner and Business Owners for the Booking Journey to help shape the solutions, agree clear requirements / user stories and contribute to discussions around the Tech Roadmap for this area
  • Produce investment cases, map benefits and work with the FBP to quantify ROI
  • Build the foundations to increase the pace of digital change within the Commercial function

Required skills:

  • Project management and execution
  • Working knowledge of commercial functions and booking and payment processes (ideally within a Travel environment)
  • Strong collaboration skills / stakeholder management across levels and functions
  • Proven track record of conceptualising technology solutions to solve business problems
  • Strong experience in using data to help inform decisions
  • Technology expertise and knowledge of current trends
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to simplify the complex
