As we further enhance our digital platform, we’re investing in additional dedicated product management roles to interface between our business and technology functions. These roles will increase pace and effectiveness in product development to drive the ongoing transformation of our proposition to end-customers (travellers) and our network of nearly 2,000 Travel Counsellors who create incredible travel experiences for their leisure and corporate customers.
We’re looking for an ambitious Product Owner to join our special business to own the creation of superb customer experiences through the development of new features and roll-out to our community of Travel Counsellors. Based at our Support Office in Manchester, the Product Owner will play the role of end-to-end owner of the customer insight to technical delivery of new features services and processes, being able to operate integrating strategy into detailed executional action plans. You will act as product owner of a suite of initiatives across one of our key strategic pillars (Premium Leisure, Corporate Travel, Travel Counsellor Experience) owning the customer vision, the product roadmap and being the pivotal role in our agile multi-disciplinary teams tasked with developing new features that take our platform from great to exceptional.
Leveraging the support of our Strategic Pillar Leads, you’ll both shape and execute product strategy, playing the critical product owner role to bring products to market. You’ll have responsibility for gathering customer insights and requirements from end users and Travel Counsellors, ensuring product profitability and commercial success are delivered, owning and tracking to the business case.
We operate with pace at Travel Counsellors, so you’ll need to be comfortable working in an agile and fast-paced environment, you’ll be familiar with agile practices and customer and product insight frameworks including Customer Journey analysis, Jobs to be Done, Value Proposition and Lean Canvases, Scrum and Kanban agile project methodologies. Understanding the importance of putting the customer at the heart of everything you do, leveraging digital technology - Genuinely interested in how customers and tech interact, now and in the future, bringing in new ideas and features to the business from what you see around you.
As well as being naturally positive, you’ll be engaging and collaborative – with the ability to take people with you to deliver a vision. Open and curious, willing to test new avenues that seem to offer viable alternatives to current practices.
No previous travel or franchise experience is required, we’ll teach you that, but you’ll need to be comfortable working towards key metrics for new features that drive business success, which may be adoption, conversion, time efficiency or other metrics dependent on the product feature. To be successful you’ll need to be restless and driven to constantly improve, going above and beyond to deliver exceptional results.
