Role Overview

Reporting to the Director of Digital Products and embedded into the finance teams you will be the owner of the financial systems within Travel Counsellors to ensure that finance users are correctly supported, and the system evolves with the growth of the business. We are looking for that person who is happy to be self-organising and can take on the exciting opportunity of maintaining, configuring, evolving financial systems as an advanced user supported by technical support teams and a specialist partner in the space.

This is an ideal role for someone who is financially minded/trained/qualified and enjoys the systems and process side of a financial team, working alongside financial and technical colleagues.

Travel Counsellors have recently completed a financial system transformation programme where we replaced many of the financial systems utilised within Travel Counsellors.

We require a finance trained/experienced person to be the guardian and protector of the finance system within Travel Counsellors. This includes but not limited to:

• Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations
• Purchasing and invoice matching
• Connected Bank Reconciliation
• Bank connectivity
• Management Reporting
• Data Imports into D365

To summarise the main activity, you will be involved with will be, but not limited to:

• You will be the systems owner, ensuring that systems are available, maintained, supported, and improved in line with In-Life BAU activity
• Adding, amending, maintaining and troubleshooting existing configuration across the Finance systems
• Providing 1st line operational user support to users in collaboration with a technical helpdesk
• Supporting the technical support desk with escalating issues to the 2nd line support partners
• A key stakeholder of the incident team in collaboration with technical support desk in the event of unplanned outages and P1/P2 issues
• Implementing, & maintaining finance processes into the finance systems
• Owning and executing the release processes in line with the technology and supplier partners, which includes regression testing and automated suites
• Collecting, planning, and executing development improvements to the finance systems in collaboration with internal and external partners
• Be the face of the finance systems internally in Travel Counsellors

Essential Skills Required

• Accountancy Experience/Background
• A Systems Accountant who is fluent and experienced in the capability, Configuration, Process flows, & functionality of D365 F&O
• A Systems accountant who is fluent and experienced in financial roles and activity such as purchase ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, record to report, order to cash, purchase to pay, management reporting, statutory returns, bank reconciliation.
• Business analysis skills that will allow you to create new process maps or amend existing process maps using Visio or other compatible mapping tools (current maps are in Visio format)

Desirable Skills

Knowledge and awareness of 3rd party integrations that support D365 in the areas of:

• Bank Reconciliation
• Purchasing and Invoice matching
• Bank connectivity to support payment
• Expenses
• Asset register and labelling.

• Travel industry experience
• Financial Business Analyst Skills or qualifications
• Accountancy qualifications
• Agile and Waterfall software delivery methodology
• MS sure step delivery process
• MS Centre of Excellence experience
• D365 Certification
