10 reasons why the Travel Counsellors Annual Conference is the best in the industry
The most highly anticipated event in the Travel Counsellors’ diary is almost here… our Annual Global Conference, and this year we’re heading to Glasgow on 9-11th November. We think it’s the best event of its kind, here’s why:
1. Experience the atmosphere.
There is no better way to understand what Travel Counsellors is all about than by attending our Conference Discovery Day.
2. Catch up with friends from around the globe.
With over 1,500 attendees already registered for 2018, Conference is the perfect time to catch up with friends and colleagues and be able to share the laughs in person, not just via a phone call!
3. Network, network, network!
Over 200 supplier partners from every area of travel attend our Conference and the pow-wow session is your opportunity to meet them all. Plus, this year we’ll be launching the Business Hub, specifically for Business Travel Counsellors to meet clients, suppliers and other members of the Corporate Travel team. For Travel Counsellors looking to get into Corporate, it’s a great way to start making those all-important connections.
4. World-class entertainment.
We’ve enjoyed the likes of Olly Murs, Alesha Dixon, Rick Astley and Gary Barlow as just some of our headline acts and our Friday night comedians have included Dara O’Brien, Jack Whitehall, John Bishop and Jo Caulfield. No matter what, you can guarantee to be entertained.
5. Super-charge your business.
Whether it’s your first or fifteenth Conference, there are always things you can take away and start doing from tomorrow to move your business up a gear. Ideas and advice from our Business Development, Marketing, Commercial and Technology (and more!) teams are aplenty and tailored to our Travel Counsellors’ needs.
6. Unforgettable speakers.
With stories of success and inspiration, our speakers entertain and motivate Travel Counsellors and we have a Sunday morning speaker worth the early start for. In 2017 Joanna Lumley took us behind the scenes of her many travel documentaries and for 2018 we have Sir Chris Hoy to share with us his success stories (all 6 Olympic Golds of them).
7. Bag yourself a holiday.
Our wonderful supplier partners donate hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of trips and giveaways, and every Travel Counsellor is in the running as names are picked at random. The prize list is far too long to mention, but trust us, they’re incredible.
8. Get your glad rags on.
Who doesn’t love a chance to get all dolled up? With two parties, over two nights and with two different themes, we never fail to host an amazing party, with surprises throughout the night.
9. Skills update.
Travel Counsellors never stands still and that’s why, on Friday afternoon, we hold seminars on a huge range of topics for Travel Counsellors to pick and choose from. Plus, Travel Counsellors can meet members of the Head Office support teams to answer any questions and get help and advice from the experts themselves.
10. Celebrate success.
The atmosphere at Conference is one of achievement, pride and applause. We get bigger and better every year, and Conference is when we take a step back to recognise a year’s hard work and truly celebrate together.
If this all sounds too good to be true, why not join us in Manchester to see for yourself? There is no better way to get a taste of life as a Travel Counsellor than by attending our Conference!
