Tell us about your role at Travel Counsellors?
My role is spilt between two areas - Sales Support and Business Coaching. I support the Travel Counsellors and help them to grow their businesses and I also help them with general enquiries and to navigate our in-house booking system, Phenix. It is a very busy office and my To-Do list changes every day!
What do you love most about your job?
There are so many things that I love about my job. I love the unlimited opportunities available to me. It’s amazing to part of a company that encourages and supports self-development. I love dealing with our Travel Counsellors, whether it’s helping them secure a booking or coming up with new ideas to grow and develop their businesses.
You work closely with Travel Counsellors daily – what do you think is the best thing about being a Travel Counsellor?
From chatting to our Travel Counsellors on a daily basis, I know without a doubt that the best thing for them is the freedom and the better work life balance it creates.
What does Travel Counsellors mean to you?
It is wonderful to work for a company that values a great work/life balance. I’m lucky to have the ability to work from home one day a week and I love the days that I do and so does my little girl Ava. It is so lovely to be there for her when she comes home from school in the afternoon, have a bit of lunch and catch up on her day.
I also consider myself very lucky to able to work every day with an incredible team of ladies in the office. Since joining Travel Counsellors my own confidence has grown so much and this has been mainly through the support and encouragement of these wonderful women who want to see me succeed in everything I do. This support and encouragement has been invaluable to me. We are all there for each other helping each other to reach work and personal goals.
Where would you recommend travelling to yourself?
I loved visiting Washington - it is such an interesting city. There is so much to see and do there from the White House to all the famous monuments and wonderful museums.
