Travel Counsellors celebrate Gold in Powerscourt Hotel

We sure do know how to celebrate success here at Travel Counsellors. Our top performing Travel Counsellors from across Ireland and the UK were recently acknowledged at a ceremony in the five-star Powerscourt Hotel. We were delighted to welcome our colleagues and fellow Travel Counsellors from the UK to the Emerald Isle.

Over 120 of our ‘Gold’ Travel Counsellors, senior management and sponsors travelled to the Wicklow resort on Saturday, 2 March. Maintaining their ‘Gold’ Travel Counsellors status in Ireland were Dublin-based Roger Barrett and Robert Kiernan; Cork’s Mary Foyle and Sarah McCarthy; Meath-based Mandy Walsh and Lorraine Lawless; Rosemary Chawke from Tipperary; Emer McDermott from Mayo and Susan Hegarty from Carlow.

There are now nine ‘Gold’ Travel Counsellors operating across Ireland, or 12% of members, the highest percentage worldwide.

Our General Manager, Cathy Burke said: “We were delighted to host the annual Travel Counsellors Gold dinner in Ireland this year, celebrating the success of our corporate and leisure travel business owners. These men and women are among the top in their industry, providing unrivalled service to all their clients.

“Gold status is an exceptional achievement, both for those securing it for the first time, or maintaining it across the years, and we are delighted to recognise and celebrate these top performers."

The exclusive evening was attended by our CEO Steve Byrne, along with event sponsors Celebrity Cruises, Emirates, Seabourn, Rocky Mountaineer, Sun Resorts and Flexible Autos. After dinner speaker was top business woman and Dragon's Den investor Chanelle McCoy.

We are really looking forward to returning to Powerscourt Hotel once again for our annual conference next week, 4 April and 5 April. Over 170 travel professionals will attend the prestigious two-day annual conference, which will conclude with a black-tie gala awards ceremony on Friday, 5 April.
