Natasha cherishes the shared values and mutual respect at Cape Town Head Office

Natasha Sauls joined Travel Counsellors in June 2023 as an Accounts Administrator. She forms part of the team that supports Travel Counsellors with finance admin that includes everything from BSP reconciliation to chasing supplier commissions.

She describes herself as “hard-working, reliable, self-motivated and always eager to learn and grow.”

Tell us a little about yourself

I'm 40...(odd) years old and a proud mother to an 11 year old daughter - she's my greatest blessing. Most think I'm an introvert, but I'm not - I enjoy music, dancing, hiking, walking but mostly rugby...I'm the craziest Springbok supporter.

What brought you to Travel Counsellors?

I was impressed by the company values and wanted to be part of a business with values like Travel Counsellors.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?

To be a support to the TC - to be able to add value by assisting TCs with their account queries. Also, the opportunity to constantly learn and grow and I enjoy the collaborative environment, the teamwork in the office, and also the fact that I can contribute to the team's success.

What’s been a highlight of the first year with Travel Counsellors?

Everyone is always included and that makes one feel like you belong and that you are part of something. I also had the opportunity to attend the Travel Counsellors Conference 2024 - this allowed me to meet most of the TCs (putting faces to the voices), but it also allowed me to gain more insight about the company.

How would you describe the culture at Travel Counsellors Head Office?

I think there's a dynamic blend of shared values and respect, open communication, commitment and collaboration.

What can prospective Travel Counsellors expect from the support we offer?

The amount of support each department offers to the Travel Counsellors is admirable, as there is always someone to assist and guide when Travel Counsellors require assistance.

In your opinion, what do you think sets Travel Counsellors apart from other employers.

The values and culture - but mostly, the warmth that one feels when you walk through the doors at Head Office.
