Celebrating International Day of Happiness

Today, 20th March is International Day of Happiness. The theme for this year is 'happier together' focusing on what we have in common.

Travel Counsellors across the globe are the same. Travel Counsellors are all experienced travel professionals. They love working in the travel industry. They are passionate about travel and they love to put their customers at the heart of everything they do.

According to Wikipedia Happiness relates to well-being. Happiness is a fuzzy concept and can mean many different things to different people.

Synonyms for happiness include: contentment, pleasure, satisfaction, cheerfulness, joy, carefree, delight, high spirits, well-being, enjoyment, exuberance, exhilaration, ecstasy, blissfulness, seventh heaven, cloud nine...

Travel Counsellors are the Happiest Company in the world! In a survey taken this is what they had to say;

• 99% of Travel Counsellors say that they will not return to their previous job
• 97% of Travel Counsellors say they would recommend the company to agents working for other travel companies
• 93% of our Travel Counsellors agree with the statement "I love my job"
• 92% of our Travel Counsellors rate their job satisfaction as high
• 92% of our Travel Counsellors say that their work-life balance has improved__

Travel Counsellors build friendships with one another across the globe. Last week one South African TC Lize Roodt enjoyed a lovely home cooked meal by a TC colleague in the UK.

Travel Counsellors will look after one anothers customers while they are not available. TCs are never in competition with each other. They will go above and beyond the call of duty to look out for each other.

We asked our TC's what makes them happy:

Travel Counsellors love seeing their clients get excited about their holidays. They love hearing all about their trip when they get back, and they can't wait to start planning their next holiday break.

Our Travel Counsellors are supported by a 400 strong head office team, whose soul purpose is to help them to be the best that they can be. We never compete with our Travel Counsellors.
