Meet Leigh Holing our newest Travel Counsellor. She joins the Travel Counsellor family in White River.

You might be wondering why start a travel business while our international borders are closed and whilst we are still in a pandemic... COVID-19 has allowed us to reflect on our lives and our careers. For some, they have needed to re-invent themselves. For others, they have needed to diversify. For me, I decided to start my own business as a Travel Counsellor.

There is a Travel Counsellor in my area in White River. She encouraged me to use this time to get myself ready for when the world of travel would re-open...

This led me to explore the opportunity to become a Travel Counsellor franchisee. With all the 'tools & support' that is on offer to me, I know that I will be perfectly placed to be able to offer my clients the very best service. I can't wait to assist my clients in helping them to be prepared to travel and where I can help to fulfil their travel dreams.

You might be wondering how I began my career in travel. It all began in London... I spent 6 exciting years working as a PA. It was there that I managed complex travel itineraries for my team of Directors. On returning to South Africa I joined a travel company based in Umhlanga, KZN. I later spent 4 years working as a Senior Consultant at a boutique leisure agency. I looked after their outbound market. I liaised with clients and created travel itineraries within Africa, the Indian Ocean Islands, Europe, the Far East and Australia.

Later I joined a corporate agency where I expanded my experience within the industry. In March 2015 I joined a lodge that fulfilled my love of the industry and a passion for Africa and its unique destinations.

And in May 2021 I have combined all my travel experience and have started my own travel franchisee with Travel Counsellors.
