TC Reconnect in Pretoria

At the end of January Mladen, Ian and Marc took to the road and visited our Travel Counsellor franchisees in person covering the following regions Bloemfontein, Kimberley, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Johannesburg and Durban. For those TCs who stay in outer-lying regions, there was an online reconnect session to ensure that no one missed out.

For some Travel Counsellor franchisees, this was the very first time that they were reconnecting with their TC colleagues since the pandemic, and for others, it was nothing new as they had continued to connect and participate in supplier coffee morning training.

The room each day was filled with much excitement and Travel Counsellors were delighted to reconnect in person again.

Travel Counsellors heard from the head office team about how the business had weathered the storm. TC's heard about the new tech developments that will soon be coming to the business. It was inspiring to hear stories of Travel Counsellors who have won new business, gained new clients, plus those who had to reinvent their business and enter into new markets.

Ros de la hunt It was so wonderful to see Ian, Marc and Mladen in person today, as well my colleagues whom I haven’t seen in 2 years! The excitement was tangible! The message was one of hope and inspiration and even though we all run our own businesses, we are a family and we have stood together during the most difficult, traumatic and trying of times, and we are all still here!

I am excited and ready for 2022, even though (if covid-19 has taught us one thing) there may be bumps in the road ahead, our comeback will be stronger than the setback! I am ready to emerge from that cocoon, be bold, have courage and take action of the things I can control and rebuild my business! My time is now

Mbali Skosana It was awesome to see everyone after such a long time. I am looking forward to the year ahead. Unlike last year I have so much hope for 2022 as I believe that things can only get better. My takeaway is "Chase the habit and not result" not that outcome is less important, but if you do what you need to do, consistently, then the results are inevitable...

Justine Jenkins It was so wonderful to see everyone in person again after the conference in early 2020. It was such a meaningful get together to see where we have come from in the last 2 years and to see how we as a team have pulled together, helped each other and survived Covid with our smiles and sanity intact. The updates on digital nomad visas, streaming and GOAT (Greatest of all time) holidays and so many other interesting things made the morning even more worthwhile. It was a lovely day of learning and then of course always - the bonding and laughter.

Charmaine McFarland It was lovely to catch up with HQ and to see a glimpse of the new normal. It was my first time seeing TCs in person in a very long time and was a little emotional. I am so excited for the future. What were most encouraging to see was the growth in our Corporate and Leisure travel markets. The increase in our Corporate market has been remarkable. A testimony of our resilience as TCs.
