'Work from Anywhere'... is our future

2020 forced many people to work from home. This sent many into a frenzy as they weren’t geared to firstly working from home, nor having the whole family under the same roof. Many challenges arose from not having a dedicate space, nor the tools, or the internet capacity...

Working from home is not new to Travel Counsellors. We have been doing for the past 26 years. We asked our TC's to share some tips for working from home.

All you need to 'Work from Anywhere'

Your customers want you to be available when they need you. If you can achieve this, then there should have no reason why you can't work from anywhere. A good internet connection along with Travel Counsellors systems that enable you to be fully mobile will give you the ability to work from anywhere.

Tired of being under the same four walls?

Lockdown has kept us home for many many months. With inter-provincial travel open why not book a holiday house with sea views or up in the mountains? This is what our TC's do. Some even have nifty set car setups, so that they work whilst been driven and maximise family time on arrival. After all, it is all about enjoying a great work-life balance. Say goodbye to leave forms, you decide where and when. What matters most is that you are available to take care of your customers.

Work from your favourite coffee shop

You are home-based not homebound. Working from your favourite coffee shop will allow you to enjoy your favourite cuppa, the change of scenery can spark some creativity. Plus, you could start a conversation with someone new and this could land you a new corporate account or your next holiday booking.

Work from Shared Spaces

You can work from a shared space if you wish. Many of our Travel Counsellors will get together from time-to-time with their TC buddy and work together.

Work from the side of a Sports Field

Many Travel Counsellors are moms and dads. They enjoy the privilege to attend their child's sports and dancing activities, that most working parents are unable to do. With our systems enabling our Travel Counsellors to be mobile it has been known of some of them making bookings on the rugby sideline. Some have even picked up new business accounts.

Work while you Travel

When our airspace re-opens and when travel resumes, what is stopping you from jetting off and exploring the world and servicing your clients on the go? Take your laptop with you and service your clients whilst you go. Post your travel videos and photos onto your Travel Counsellors website and social media accounts and this too could inspire some new bookings.

As a Travel Counsellor business owner, you get to decide where you want to work, it's your business after all. All that we require is that you are available to service your customers.
