Empowering you with events – a month in the life of our business owners

When you come on board as a Travel Counsellor, it’s not just about crafting unforgettable, bespoke trips for your customers. You’ll also have so many opportunities to attend training sessions, celebrations, and immersive events hosted by our valued supplier partners.

In this blog, we show you what a typical month could be like for you when you join our thriving community by giving you a sneak peek of some of the events we’re hosting throughout September.

September Events Calendar

Takeover Days

Our Takeover Days are the ideal opportunity to build relationships with our supplier partners and improve your knowledge of a particular destination, region, or holiday type. In September, we’re hosting Takeover Days across the country, but we also hold these kinds of events regularly at our Venus Support Hub in Manchester – so there’s bound to be one that’s convenient for you. At the Takeover Days, you’ll sit with each supplier in small groups to learn more about what they can offer your customers and to ask any questions you have.

Roadshows

Similar to the Takeover Days, our Roadshows are another great way to meet our suppliers face-to-face. In September, we’ll be heading up to Newcastle with some of our valued cruise and DMC partners. Our DMCs (Destination Management Companies) manage a range of products or services in destinations all around the world, while having a wealth of local knowledge that our business owners can tap into when creating itineraries for their customers.

If you’re local to Newcastle, our Franchise Sales team are hosting a special ‘meet and mingle’ event after the cruise roadshow on September 25th, where you can learn more about joining our community in a relaxed, informal setting. Sound good? You can book your place here!

Gold Weekends

An undoubted highlight in our annual events calendar, our Gold Weekends celebrate some of our most successful business owners who have hit certain sales criteria. This month, we’re hosting our final two Gold Weekends of 2024, with incredible trips lined up to South Africa and Qatar! These trips follow jaunts to Portugal, Sri Lanka, and Crete earlier in the year. There’s one thing you can be certain of when you join our community – your hard work will be recognised and rewarded! Keep an eye out on our blog and social media channels to find out what our business owners get up to on these upcoming Gold Weekends.

My Leading Performance and My Personal Best Training

Designed to help you upskill and take your business to the next level, our ‘My Leading Performance’ and ‘My Personal Best’ training days will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to overcome any blockers that are impacting your business’ performance.

These sessions cover a range of topics, including social media best practice (with hands-on training to increase your confidence in social content creation) and how to nurture your customers. There’s also a focus on the softer skills needed to run a successful business – like valuing yourself, maintaining a positive mindset, and boosting your productivity.

Anniversary Days

As the name suggests, our Anniversary Days bring together our business owners who’ve recently celebrated their Travel Counsellors birthday at our Venus Support Hub in Manchester. Anniversary Day guests are treated to a delicious breakfast and lunch, and of course, an obligatory glass or two of fizz. As much as they’re a chance to celebrate success and mingle with fellow franchisees, they’re also an opportunity to meet with our Support Hub colleagues, share any feedback you have, and get a reminder of all the fantastic support you have as a Travel Counsellor.

Incentives and FAM trips

In addition to all the fantastic events we’ve just mentioned, in September, some of our business owners will also be jetting off on a tour of Australia, which is a reward for hitting various sales milestones earlier this year. We believe the best way to sell a destination is to immerse yourself in it yourself, which is why we work closely with our valued supplier partners to offer these educational opportunities all year round.

Do you want to join a travel franchise where the support doesn’t end after your initial induction, and where there are constant opportunities to improve your skills and knowledge? We’re always looking for passionate, driven, customer-focused people to join our growing community, and there’s still time to get your business up and running before the end of the year – ready to make the most of the busy ‘peaks’ period.

Whether you want to book onto one of our Discovery Events to find out more about becoming a Travel Counsellor, or are ready to speak to a member of our team, we’d love to hear from you.
