From brand-new corporate travel business to Gold in less than a year – Sarah’s story

Hear from Sarah Preston, one of our Business Development Manager Travel Counsellors who’s joined our club of Gold Travel Counsellors less than a year after leaving her job with another TMC to set up a corporate travel business of her own.

We sat down with Sarah to find out more about her journey and how she’s grown her business so significantly in such a short space of time.

Hi Sarah! Huge congratulations on achieving Gold in less than a year! What’s been the key to your success?

The biggest key to my success has been building strong relationships — not only with other Travel Counsellors, but most importantly, with clients. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to continue to expand on existing relationships, which helped me get my business up and running early on. Additionally, I’ve focused on building new relationships and networking extensively, which has been crucial in growing my business into what it is today. I’m also highly target-driven, setting daily, weekly, and monthly goals, and I always celebrate every win, no matter how big or small.

You recently went on the Crete Gold Weekend trip – how did you find it?

It was amazing! Crete was by far one of the best weekends ever. The entire trip, from start to finish, was nothing short of incredible! One of the highlights was meeting other Travel Counsellors I wouldn't normally have the chance to meet. It was so inspiring to be surrounded by so many people who’ve created such thriving businesses. I felt like I really expanded my network while being treated like royalty!
