Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Front End Software Engineer to join our growing team in Manchester, UK. Working as part of our dynamic technology function, you will directly contribute to an award winning digital platform that supports over 2000 entrepreneurial travel businesses. You will contribute to end-to-end system design and development, be a key part of helping us grow, develop and expand on our existing systems and support our platform modernisation and cloud migration journey.

Principle Accountabilities

• To be part of a high performing team delivering scalable, resilient, customer centric systems the make up our Personal Digital Platform
• Work closely with UX designers and researchers to create user-centric interfaces that align with brand guidelines and accessibility standards. Ensure seamless integration with backend services, adhering to best practices in frontend development.
• Stay up to date with the latest frontend technologies, frameworks, and trends, and contribute to defining the team’s engineering and technology strategy.
• To work with scrum team to develop delivery schedules for projects
• To work with business analysts, business owners and testers
• To support our technology modernisation effort – building scalable, cloud-based systems in a microservice based architecture
• To collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver features from inception and throughout the lifecycle
• To help drive a high-performing engineering culture, providing technical leadership and a coaching attitude to colleagues and team members
• To work with the team to continually improve practices and processes

Educational/Professional Standards

• 5+ years in a similar role, demonstrating strong progression and an aptitude to learn and develop
• Strong experience of building modern, cloud based, customer facing systems
• Experience in a high paced technology development environment preferred
• Degree preferred from leading university – Computer Science, Software Engineering, Maths or other numerate subjects or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in Travel not necessary
