A message from our CEO
I hope you and your family are keeping safe and well at this time.
It may have been a little while since we’ve been in touch, and I do hope that whatever life has thrown at you over the last few weeks you have been able to rely on your support networks to help you through. Here at Travel Counsellors our support systems and the care we show to each other and our customers has never felt more important – from family FaceTime’s to daily ‘TCTV’ shows, we’re ensuring we keep connected to each other.
For our part we’ve been focused on looking after our Travel Counsellors and customers, as well as welcoming new business owners to the community. In fact, many people have continued to launch their business with Travel Counsellors over the last few weeks, with our global support teams delivering virtual training direct to their new home offices.
As one of the first companies in the travel industry to empower professional people to launch corporate and leisure travel businesses from home, working remotely and flexibly to suit their customers and ambitions, we have adapted well and are in a strong position to navigate what many people are now calling the ‘new normal’. Not only does working remotely feel natural for Travel Counsellors, safeguarded by the tools and technology to ensure that we can work securely, our reduced commute is kinder to the environment too.
When life does go ‘back to normal’, albeit slowly, Travel Counsellors will continue to do as we have always done – prioritise personal relationships and place care at the heart of everything we do. This crisis has reaffirmed the value of being able to rely on an experienced, trusted, human travel expert who will always be there for their customers. Many of our leisure and corporate travellers have enjoyed the peace of mind provided by knowing that any changes required to their booking in this unprecedented time are being looked after, and our customers have told us how much they love being able to reply on their Travel Counsellor.
We were also delighted to receive the news last month that Travel Counsellors has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, marking the third time we have won this prestigious award in the company’s history, and the second time in the International Trade category. This award recognises the impact of Travel Counsellors global community, now in seven countries and supporting nearly 2,000 business owners across the world. With all winners personally approved by Her Majesty The Queen, the awards recognise excellence in UK business, and we are so proud to be amongst the roll call once again.
So no matter your circumstances at the moment, please remember the Travel Counsellors community is always here for a friendly chat, and with customer enquiries now coming in for later in the year and for 2021, it’s natural to feel like we all deserve something positive to look forward to.
