An in-depth induction

Your journey will start with a ten-day, tailored virtual induction, delivered by our expert training team. This will get you up to speed with all the industry knowledge, systems, and tools you need to get your business off the ground. You’ll complete your induction in a small group with other new business owners who have come in on the Academy route – so you’ll all be learning together, at the same pace. Our inductions are a great first stepping stone into our caring community, with many business owners forging lifelong friendships with their cohort.

Ongoing, best-in-class training

Your training doesn’t stop once your induction is done and dusted. You’ll also receive a thorough, ongoing training programme for the first six months, so you can continue building your knowledge while you get your business off the ground. There will be various training modules for you to complete independently, with our support team colleagues on hand if you need any assistance.

Learn from the best – your personal mentor

To complement the ongoing training you’ll also be matched with a successful Travel Counsellor who will mentor you for the first six months of your journey. They have been in your shoes in the past, so they will be there to pass on their expertise, advise you, and help you achieve those important first milestones – such as putting together your first quote and making that crucial first booking. Think of your mentor as your biggest cheerleader!

Access to world-class tech

We want you to have the latest tools you need to be your best and to deliver outstanding service for your customers. Our in-house booking system, Phenix, allows you to put together complex, tailor-made itineraries with ease, while the integrated myTC app keep you and your customers connected.

At our annual conference in November 2023, we announced that we’d be investing £15 million into developing our tech during the year ahead – so you can rest assured you’ll have access to world-class systems that will help you to do your job brilliantly. In addition to this, we also recently announced our acquisition of Planisto – a proprietary, cloud-based technology platform that empowers travel advisors to create and manage complex, personalised itineraries, to complement Phenix.

Business coaching to help you achieve your goals

As you begin to find your feet with your franchise, our team of ILM-qualified business coaches will be on hand to help you get your business off on a positive trajectory. They’ll work with you on a one-to-one basis, providing advice and guidance to help you achieve everything you set out to achieve in your business plan. After each coaching call, you’ll have a list of actions to work through to help you grow your customer base and boost your bookings.
