Travel Counsellors and Cunard relish exclusive gourmet event

A group of Travel Counsellors joined forces with Cunard last month to enjoy a gloriously food-fuelled day in a five-star setting, hosted by one of the country’s top chefs.

The exclusive event, staged at Glasgow’s luxury Crossbasket Castle Hotel, brought together 20 Travel Counsellors business owners, support team colleagues, and Cunard representatives, for a lunch time occasion packed full of cruising news, culinary excellence, and Michelin-starred memories.

The event began with a presentation from Cunard, delivering the latest fleet updates and itineraries for Travel Counsellors to present to their customers – both those who are new to cruise and seasoned sailors. Following this, the group were delighted by a live cooking demonstration from Michelin-starred chef, Michel Roux, and enjoyed the fruits of his labour with a two-course meal expertly prepared by Roux and his dedicated team.

The event offered the perfect blend, enabling Travel Counsellors to learn more about the latest developments from Cunard, whilst indulging in a top-tier dining experience.

Lisa Brady, a Travel Counsellor who attended the event, was thrilled with the experience. Lisa said, “I had such a delicious day! Not only was the entire culinary experience excellent and something truly special spearheaded by Michel Roux, his team, and the team at the Crossbasket Castle, but events like this help me to further connect with my customers by offering them exclusive insights and first-hand knowledge on luxury cruising.

Cunard has announced an exclusive partnership with two Michelin-starred chef, Michel Roux, working alongside Cunard’s culinary development chefs to create a gala menu for the Queens Grill restaurant and a new menu for the fleet’s famed pub, the Golden Lion. Roux will also return to Norway in 2025 for The Norwegian Fjords with Michel Roux, an exclusive series of Le Gavroche residencies with Cunard.
