Travel Counsellors climbs the ranks in Top Track 250
We’re delighted to be named in The Sunday Times PwC Top Track 250 league table, recognising companies that have made an important contribution to the UK in a challenging backdrop.
Marking the sixth consecutive year Travel Counsellors has been listed in the league table, the company has climbed to number 48, making a significant jump from its place at 85 in 2019.
This year’s ‘special Covid-19 edition’ highlights mid-market companies for their continuing contribution to the economy as well as local communities, ‘from supporting the NHS to enabling remote working.’
Now ranking amongst the top 50 companies listed in the ‘Top Track 250’, this year’s placing is due to Travel Counsellors ‘positive response to the crisis’, highlighting the company as supporting ‘its self-employed advisers via a digital information hub and an expansion of its welfare fund.’
Steve Byrne, CEO at Travel Counsellors, said: “To be named in the Sunday Times PwC Top Track 250 for the sixth-year running, and to break into the league table’s top 50 in what has been a really difficult period for many people, is a real testament to our unwavering focus on showing care – to our customers, business owners, colleagues and our local communities – in what continues to be a challenging time in travel.
“The value of a human, trusted, travel expert who can be there for their customers has been proven time and time again during the course of this crisis. This listing is thanks to the care our people have shown to customers, and each other, over the last few months, and demonstrates how working smarter, remotely, and wherever its secure to do so, supported by a technology platform and a community of nearly 2000 people that are routing for each other to be successful, can form the backbone to growth.
“We remain focussed on rebuilding a brighter future, harnessing the wealth of experience our business owners have in creating seamless corporate and leisure travel experiences for their customers, and creating as many opportunities to help people enjoy safe ways to explore the globe again.”
Travel Counsellors ranking follows the company twice being listed number one in MoneySavingExpert’s consumer polls of companies looking after customers during Covid-19, and winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for the third time in the company’s history at the peak of the pandemic.
The Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table ranks Britain’s mid-market growth private companies with the greatest sales, compiled for its 16th annual edition by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times this weekend. To be included, companies must demonstrate a minimum of five per cent increase in sales or profits year on year.
