Scoring points on a global scale: Travel Counsellors compete in our TC World Cup global incentive

Travel Counsellors came together this January to fight for the top spot in our biggest global incentive yet: the TC World Cup!

Designed to drive momentum during the January peaks period, the TC World Cup saw more than 2,200 Travel Counsellors split into 40 teams, all competing tirelessly across weekly challenges for a grand prize. Travel Counsellors earned points for their team through bookings, with additional bonus challenges turning up the heat, and the community drawing together to cheer on this fast-paced and friendly tournament.

A global competition powered by teamwork

The TC World Cup included Travel Counsellors from across the globe, with each team working to boost bookings and clinch the winning prize: a luxury hosted trip to Antigua. To help secure the top spot, weekly challenges focused on booking specific airlines or targeted destinations, with great bonus points on offer.

With large teams and supportive Team Captains, our Travel Counsellors encouraged each other and engaged in a little bit of healthy competition as teams climbed the leaderboard. The scale of the incentive made it our most ambitious yet, creating plenty of energy as teams tracked progress, shared updates, and pushed for those all-important points.

The role of our Team Captains on and off the pitch

At the heart of the TC World Cup were our Team Captains and Vice Captains. Motivated, community-minded Travel Counsellors stepped forward to lead their teams, helping to keep momentum high throughout the tournament.

As a Team Captain, they shared regular performance updates, celebrated team wins, and kept everyone focused. Captains received additional support from our Sales Promotions Team, giving them the tools and guidance needed to keep teams engaged and on track. Becoming a captain was also a great opportunity to connect with Travel Counsellors from across the globe, build new relationships, and play an active role in our wider community.

The ultimate trophy

After weeks of competition, our TC World Cup winners are: Team Netherlands!

Captained by Gayle Chase, the team secured an incredible 20 places on an unforgettable trip to Antigua, including flights with Virgin Atlantic and luxury stays at Blue Waters and Carlisle Bay.

Reflecting on the win, Gayle said “I wanted to be a captain because I get such a buzz from bringing a group of virtual strangers together and turning them into one big, united team. To keep the momentum going, we set up a WhatsApp group, had weekly Teams calls, and I shared daily updates with the team on stats and key areas of focus. That really helped us stay on track and secure the bonus points, which made such a difference.”

“What I loved most was how everyone got involved, especially the new starters. We had so much knowledge across the team and genuinely pulled together throughout the challenge. I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved and can’t wait to celebrate with the team in Antigua. GO TEAM NETHERLANDS!”
