Competition Rules

When entering a competition, you should follow any links on the competition entry page of our website to the specific terms and conditions for that particular competition.

You should also read our Privacy Policy which applies to all of your dealings with us and explains what use we will make of any personal information you may give us.

Our Details

“We”, “us” and “our” means Travel Counsellors Limited, Venus, No1 Old Park Lane, Trafford City, Manchester M41 7HA England.

Eligibility

1. This promotion is only open to residents of the UK aged 18 or over

2. You will need to enter all of the necessary details requested and set out on the prize draw entry page

3. You may not enter the prize draw if you are employed by us or professionally connection to this promotion

Promotional Period

4. You can enter between 08:00 BST on the 8 March 2023 and 08:00 BST on the 24 March 2023

To Enter

5. To enter this promotion, complete the prize draw form within the period that is set in the prize draw entry page to be automatically entered into the prize draw

6. The prize draw is free to enter

7. You’ll receive one (1) maximum entry into the prize draw

8. By entering the prize draw, you are agreeing to these prize draw terms and conditions

The Prizes

9. If you’re selected, you will win one voucher to spend up to £500 on travel with our Travel Counsellor Ben Pierce. There will be one winner selected at random.

10. TCL are not responsible for any insurance, applicable taxes and for any expenses or costs associated with the prize.

Further Prize Details and Conditions:

I. The voucher is valid for 24 months from the closing date 24 March 2023.

II. Unless otherwise required by law, the prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and has no cash value. No cash alternatives will be offered.

III. Our decision is final with respect to any aspect of the competition, including the determination of any winner and no correspondence will be entered into

IV. Where the prize involve the winner travelling, the winner and any guest(s) joining them shall be required to hold a valid passport and/or other necessary travel documentation and visas.

V. Where Prizes necessitate travel on a specific date, the winner and any guest(s) joining them must be able to travel on the date specified by us and no alternative dates will be available. The exact dates for travel shall remain subject to availability.

VI. Travel insurance shall not be included in any prize so the winner and any guest(s) joining them are advised to obtain their own travel insurance.

Winner Selection

11. The winner will be generated using a computer process which selects a random participant

12. The draw will take place within 5 working days of the closing date of the competition.

Contacting the Winner

13. We’ll contact the provisional winners via the email address or telephone number provided used on entry within 5 working days of winner selection and will be asked to provide their postal address to claim their prize. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winners. If a winner does not respond to the initial contact within 10 days, we reserve the right to disqualify that entrant and award the prize to a reserve selected in the same manner. Reserve winners may have less time to respond.

Prize Acceptance

14. We will send the prize as soon as we can and it will be available to you as soon as you have accepted the prize in accordance with the details provided by you. In the unlikely event that your prize doesn’t arrive within 28 days of you accepting the prize, you’ll have a further 28 days to inform us by emailing the team at: marketing@travelcounsellors.com. If you don’t let us know within this time frame, we will reserve the right to not reissue the prize or limit its value at our sole discretion.

Liability

15. If you have a claim against another provider of services in connection with the Competition and/or Prize you will pursue that claim independently and without recourse to us.

16. We shall not be liable for any delay in performing or partial or total failure to perform any of its obligations to the winner and/or any guest(s) joining them and/or parent(s)/legal guardian(s) under these General Competition Rules if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control including without limitation delays, changes, disruptions, cancellations, diversions or substitutions howsoever caused including without limitation as a result of war, terrorist action or threatened terrorist action, strikes, hostilities, civil commotions, accidents, fire, flood or natural catastrophes or arising without limitation out of or in connection with (i) the activities of third party event organisers; (ii) any form of transportation (including but not limited to flights, trains, coaches, buses, ferries, taxis or cars); and/or (iii) by third parties providing accommodation included in the prize. For the avoidance of doubt, the affected Winner(s) and/or any guests joining them and/or parent(s)/legal guardian(s) shall be solely liable for any additional costs incurred as a result.

17. If the promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, we reserve the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or does not comply with these Terms & Conditions, or invalidate any affected entries and/or to cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion.

18. No responsibility can be taken for entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

19. We and our associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using the/a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. However, nothing will exclude our liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.

20. If any part/s of these Terms & Conditions are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect.

21. By entering, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

22. If there is a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and those in any promotional material, these Terms & Conditions will prevail.

23. These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and their interpretation and application will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

24. Any personal information, including without limitation, the your name, age, address (including postcode), telephone number and/or email address ("Personal Data") will be used (i) in connection with the Competition which you entered, (ii) for any purpose to which you gave your express consent on entry (iii) as set out in these General Competition Rules and (iv) in accordance with our Privacy Policy https://www.travelcounsellors.co.uk/hygenie-pages/privacy-policy/. Your personal data will not be disclosed to any third party, except for the purpose of fulfilling the prize where applicable unless you gave your express consent to this on entry.
