Achieving Gold in just 13 months – Nikki's success story

Nikki's inspirational story

Say hello to Nikki Thompson, who came on board as a Corporate Travel Counsellor in March 2024. Now, 13 months into her journey, she’s just achieved Gold – placing her in the top 12% of Travel Counsellors.

Speaking of why reaching Gold was so important to her, Nikki said: “I was incredibly keen to reach Gold status. It's the ultimate accolade at Travel Counsellors, and I thrive on working towards a goal. I was determined to achieve it as soon as possible. It’s an amazing feeling — and a bit surreal — to have accomplished it in such a short time.”

Her secret to success

Nikki’s secret to success is more a recipe, bringing together the perfect blend of client referrals (which is exactly what our trusted franchise model is built on), engaging with clients, and building solid relationships with our business development managers.

“If I had to sum up my ‘secret to success’, I’d say it comes down to a few core things: strong business acumen, self-discipline, a genuine care for my clients (I really see myself as an extension of their businesses), and deep industry knowledge that I’ve built up over the years. Plus, I’ve got a crazy memory, which I like to think of as my superpower! It’s super useful in this role!”, Nikki said.
